Diammonium phosphate refers to a standard product containing 18% N and 548% P2O. The crystal shape is oblique prism. The solubility in 25C water is 71%. The pH value of its saturated solution reaches 8, which is much higher than that of monoammonium phosphate.  Since the saturated solution of diammonium phosphate is alkaline, applying it to acidic soil can reduce the fixing effect of iron and aluminum on phosphorus, so that phosphorus can maintain a high availability, so it is recommended to use diammonium phosphate on acidic soil. Diammonium phosphate, also known as diammonium hydrogen phosphate (DAP), is a compound fertilizer containing nitrogen and phosphorus.  Off-white or dark gray particles, specific gravity 1.619, easily soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.  It has a certain degree of hygroscopicity, and is easy to decompose in humid air.  The aqueous solution is slightly alkaline, pH8.0.
