Basic Information: Stevioside, also known as stevioside, is a glycoside extracted from the leaves of Stevia rebaudia (which is called Stevia in China). Stevia rebaudiana is native to Paraguay and Brazil. It is also cultivated in China, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries. Its sweet components are stevioside and stevioside a, B, C, D and E. Stevioside can be extracted, clarified and crystallized from dry leaves with water. Three types of stevioside were obtained in actual production, namely, crude extract and products with purity of 50% and 90%.
