1. Introduction:

Magnesium chloride is a chloride with the chemical formula MgCl2. Colorless and easily deliquescent crystals. Magnesium chloride is a typical ionic halide that is easily soluble in water. Hydrated magnesium chloride can be extracted from saltwater or seawater. Usually contains 6 molecules of crystalline water. But when heated to 95 ºC, it loses crystalline water. At temperatures above 135 ºC, it begins to decompose and releases hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas. Raw materials for industrial production of magnesium. Found in seawater and brine. Hydrated magnesium chloride is a substance commonly used in prescription oral magnesium supplements.
